Residential Construction Workforce Partnership

RCWP was awarded multiple grants from the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training to address the severe labor shortages in the construction industry as it relates to the ELECTRICAL field. RCWP's training program consists of a six-month pre-apprenticeship training program providing teaching, mentoring and coaching focused on the career success of the graduates. RCWP performs an in-depth recruitment process using industry channels, outreach, social media and intergovernmental programs. Candidates must pass a thorough screening process which includes interviews vetting for genuine interest and motivation before entering the program. Training is provided through the use of numerous locations throughout RI. RCWP uses its industry relationships to place participants into employment. During the year 2024, RCWP held two cohorts providing 21 students the essential skills and credentials in their industry in order to enter the workforce.

RCWP's training program consists of a 26-week Pre-Apprentice training program providing teaching, mentoring and coaching focused on the career success of the graduates. RCWP performs an in-depth recruitment process using industry channels, outreach, social media and intergovernmental programs. Candidates must pass a thorough screening process which includes interviews vetting for genuine interest and motivation before entering the program.
