Restoration Outreach Programs

The ROP Food Bank seeks to provide food for people at risk of hunger living along Colfax in Northwest Aurora and Northeast Denver. Every Tuesday, the Food Bank provides groceries and other resources to many families and individuals in need, as well as provides food to individuals and families in crisis on an as-needed basis throughout the week. ROP's Food Bank serves individuals from 3 counties {Adams, Arapahoe and Denver}.

The Work Readiness/GED Ministry strives to enhance employability of those within the community we serve. We provide tutoring to prepare students for the high school equivalency test (GED or HiSet), assist participants in creating effective resumes, train in effective interview techniques, and help participants develop soft skills that employers seek in potential candidates. Work Readiness helps individuals with job retention, mentoring, and assigning accountability partners, and provides life coaching and life skills. Our ESL Program offers free English classes in Aurora to the refugee and immigrant population, in the surrounding neighborhoods of ROP, to help them overcome the language barriers they face living in the United States. Interested participants are assessed on their current English skills and then placed into one of our four class levels (Basic, Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3). Each class meets twice a week for two hours and students work on English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

Hospitality Center - The Hospitality Center, opened in December 2023, addresses the increase of individuals experiencing homelessness by providing a space of warmth and welcome, where guests can connect with caring staff and volunteers, and be linked to necessary resources. Guests receive access to hot showers, clothing, snacks, backpacks, and other basic needs. Along with meeting needs, the Hospitality Center serves as an entry point to social services that empower, encourage, and equip struggling individuals.
