Restorative Justice Institute Of Maine

Young Adult Diversion Program: We partner with various Maine District Attorney offices to use a peer-support model guiding young adults (18-26) who have been charged with class C, D, and E misdemeanors through a restorative justice harm repair process. Focused on accountability, responsibility, and making things right, facilitators provide follow-up support and care navigation before, during and after the process.

Training and Consulting: RJIM offers multi-level workshops and training in restorative practices from introduction to advanced. RJIM works within community organizations, schools, and other non-profits to bring restorative practices into their daily lives while teaching how to build an accountability-driven community. RJIM's training program incorporates anti-bias and equity training and is integrated into all of our workshops.
