In rhode island, nurses and licensed assisted living administrators are required to earn continuing education credits ("ceu's") to keep their industry knowledge current and to renew their licenses. Riala offers a series of course offerings throughout the year to help its members meetthe ceu requirements.

The organization offers a fifty hour training program up to twice a year to prepare applicants to apply for licensure as an assisted living adminstrator as required by rhode island state law. All assisted living residences (or buildings) have to be individually licensed, as well as,operated by a licensed assisted living administrator.
