Mission

The Richardson Area Orchestra Club (Club) is a parent led organization whosegoal is to cultivate growth of participating students in their appreciation for and performance of orchestral music, as individuals and with a group, before a variety of audiences. The Club has approximately 450 students in the program ranging from grades 6 through 12. These students attend the following public schools, all of which are part of the Richardson, Texas Independent School District: Richardson High School, Westwood Junior High School, Richardson West Junior High School and associated Elementary schools. While the Club serves the orchestra students of the public school district, it is independent of the school district and receives no public funding. It operates as a booster club in compliance with guidelines issued by the University Interscholastic League and Richardson Independent School District (RISD).
