Richwood Independent Agricultural Fair

The society is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations described under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The society may not attempt to influence legisaltion as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates. The society is not organized or operated for the benefit of any priveate interests, and no part of a section 501(c)(3) organization's net earnings may inure to the benefit of, or be distributable to its members, trustees, officers, or other private persons. The society's principal purpuse is to promote and encourage agriculture, industry, science, art, and other interest of union county which the board deems to proper and in the best interest of the commonity.
