Field Trips - In addition to supplementing the MLK Academy field trip budget we funded a truly epic outdoor learning experience for the 2024-2025 5th grade class. They will be attending a multi-night field trip at Walker Creek Ranch. We hope this trip becomes an annual right of passage for our 5th grade class leaving lasting and positive memories of their educational journey.

The MLK Dream Team is a volunteer group established by MLK Academy parents. They assist with campus events promote community spirit and aid teachers and staff. Their 2nd annual outdoor movie night was highly successful offering an enjoyable evening with pizza popcorn beverages face-painting and a large movie screen to kick off the school year. The Dream Team also organized a backpack giveaway for all students ensuring they started the year with fully stocked backpacks. Their ongoing support for teachers demonstrated appreciation and dedication throughout the year.

Our organization is dedicated to enhancing educational experiences for students at key milestones by supporting graduation ceremonies for the 5th and 8th grade classes ensuring these events are memorable for students and families. Moreover we maintain our commitment to educational excellence through our Scholarly Initiative program. This initiative offers small grants to teachers and staff to support innovative projects and classroom enhancements. To ensure transparency and accountability all grant requests undergo thorough review and approval by the board and school principal before being disbursed aiming to maximize the positive impact on student learning and development.
