Rise Up Woman International supported the work of ELYON in Baringo County, Kenya. Our work encouraged, equipped, and empowered vulnerable women and girls including widows and single mothers by providing training in business, prevention, and recovery from GBV, as well as providing funds for capital investment.
Rise Up Woman International supported the work of ALARM-Kenya in Kenyawa. In the Baringo area, Rise Up and ALARM-Kenya encouraged, equipped, and empowered widows and single mothers by providing additional training in violence prevention and trauma recovery. The work in Kenyawa focused on developing 66 leaders through a 3 year hoistic leadership development program that included trauma healing and resileince building, capacity building, womens cultural barriers and health.
Rise Up Woman International supported the work of Equip and Send Ministries in Iganga, Uganda. Rise Up collaborated with EASM to launch a 3-year leadership development program to encourage, equip, and empower 40 local female church and community leaders.
