Citybuilders apprenticeships train youth and young adults ages 12-24 in career skills and endurance through the masonry trade of tuckpointing. Apprentices participate in classroom learning, for which they earn a stipend, and hands-on community service. In 2024, R CITY apprenticed 68 youth and paid $84,459 in educational stipends. Apprentices completed 9,500 hours of hands-on training in their assigned trade.
Successbuilders scholarships mitigate financial barriers to success for post-secondary students who graduated from River City Community Church or R CITY. In 2024, R CITY awarded $ 15,089 to 11 scholars, as well as linking young adults to career and affordable housing opportunities and an ongoing network of support.
