Rochester Art Center

Rochester art center presents a full schedule of art exhibitions throughout the year that features different artists and art forms. Exhibiting artists reflect the communities we serve including minnesotans, all age ranges and various ethnicities. In fy 2024, 13 exhibitions featured 540 artists: the nexus of wellbeing and art by anne labovitz, (ja-tra) : a feeling at the beginning of time by roshan ganu, zumbro bend by pete driessen, bio terrains by jane powers, fame & friendship by pat york, art lives here by chris allen, to-do list by may ling kopecky, everyday states of awe by bill gossman. Group exhibitions: a lapse into the ephemeral, piece by piece by mn mosaic guild, chronicles of the chronic, international day of persons with disabilities, southeast mn high school art show, ageless art, dreaming our futures: ojibwe and ohthi akwi artists and knowledge keepers.engaging in high-quality arts experiences fosters personal growth and self-expression, and enables visitors to gain a deeper appreciation for the cultural diversity that defines our community. Participants, regardless of age or background, have the chance to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and find unique ways to express themselves through various art forms.

Rochester art center's public art program, art4trails, holds a call for art each year and installs temporary artwork along the bike trails in downtown rochester, mn. During the spring, new artwork is installed and celebrated with a guided walking and bike tour. Weekly guided tours are offered throughout the warm seasons in addition to artist talks.
