Ronald mcdonald house charities of greater las vegas, inc. Is a nonprofit corporation under the laws of the state of nevada. This temporary "home away from home" provides housing, meals, transportation, and other support services for families who must travel to las vegas to seek critical medical treatment for their children. Rmhc also operates a ronald mcdonald family room right on the grounds of sunrise children's hospital, offering free meals, a comfortable lounge, hot showers, sleeping and napping accommodations, and computer access to family members with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. Another rmhc program, the ronald mcdonald care mobile, is a mobile state-of-the-art dental van that travels to rural communities and inner-city neighborhoods throughout nevada to serve children from low-income families who have little to no access to critical dental care. Rmhc also awards annual scholarships to local high school seniors, as well as qualifying continuing college students

Ronald mcdonald house charities scholarships in the final year of our rmhc college scholarship program, rmhc awarded 19 continuing college students (alumni) from clark and nye counties with 1,000 scholarships, for a total of 19,000 in scholarship awards. These scholarships were funded by proceeds generated through the sale of happy meals at our local mcdonald's restaurants.

Ronald mcdonald care mobile in an effort to provide access to dental care for underserved children in rural southern nevada and inner-city las vegas, rmhc of greater las vegas, in partnership with nevada health centers, operates a ronald mcdonald care mobile program. This mobile dental office on wheels delivers care directly to children in their own neighborhoods. The care mobile makes scheduled visits to community health centers, collaborating non-profit partner sites, mcdonald's restaurants sites, and remote frontier communities. In 2024, the care mobile provided dental services, take-home oral hygiene supplies, and oral health education to 1,348 low-income and geographically-isolated children, ages 2-21, at no cost to their families. The care mobile program provided a total of 585,319 in dental services in low-income communities in 2024. More than 97% of the children served aboard care mobile in 2024 were on medicaid or had no insurance coverage at all.

Ronald mcdonald family room rmhc also provides a temporary "home away from home" at the ronald mcdonald family room on the grounds of sunrise children's hospital in las vegas. The family room is approximately 1,400 square feet and is located directly down the hall from the neonatal intensive care unit (nicu), keeping families closer than ever to their hospitalized babies. The family room offers a peaceful home-like environment where family members can take short breaks away from the often tense and chaotic medical setting, yet remain steps away from their baby's bedside. The family room offers overnight sleeping and daytime napping rooms, toiletries, showers, lockers, a comfortable lounge area with sofas, recliners, tv, children's games and books, a kitchenette, dining area, and computer workstations. Coffee, tea, and cold beverages, along with single-serve meals and snacks are available at no cost to our families, as well as our healthy sack lunches daily. In 2024, the ronald mcdonald family room provided a peaceful place of respite to 12,420 family members.
