Provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare.

Our four ronald mcdonald family room programs located inside cleveland clinic children's, cleveland clinic fairview, metrohealth, and uh rainbow babies & children's offered over 32,000 visits of comfort and care. These spaces provided families with a calm place to rest and recharge just steps from their child's treatment. Amenities included snacks, laundry and shower access, and overnight respite rooms. Happy wheels hospitality carts brought moments of relief directly to the bedside, with 343 cart visits delivering more than 24,000 thoughtful items. Families used kitchenettes 19,720 times, consumed 20,485 meals, completed 2,520 loads of laundry, and took 1,885 showers.

Our star (support, teaching, awareness & resources) programs provided enriching, supervised care to children while their siblings received treatment. In 2024, 496 families registered 712 children for activities at the cleveland clinic children's star center and the new star corner at akron children's mahoning valley emergency department. Together, these programs reached 2,845 children with lessons in nutrition, safety, and healthy habits always offered with compassion and encouragement.happy wheels carts distributed 5,998 toys, snacks, and activity kits to calm and distract young patients.

The ronald mcdonald care mobile, operated in partnership with uh rainbow babies & children's hospital, delivered accessible dental care to 373 children in underserved communities. As our commitment to equity deepens, we are pleased that in october of 2025, a new medical focused care mobile will begin serving the mahoning valley in partnership with akron children's hospital.

Expenses: $177K

Redtreehouse.org continued to be a lifeline for families navigating health or disability-related challenges. In 2024, 11,682 users visited the site for curated resources, toolkits, and community-based supports.we released 13 new "parent picks and "pro picks" resource blogs authored in collaboration with caregivers, child life specialists, and healthcare professionals on topics ranging from pediatric mental health to navigating school systems with an iep.we also strengthened our relationship with the unite us network, expanding our ability to connect families with local service providers and track referral outcomes with integrity and care.

The rmhc neo board of directors, community trustees, and committee members provide essential guidance and governance, helping us lead with integrity and remain accountable to the families we serve. In 2024, our board of directors was comprised of 30 dedicated individuals who offered strategic leadership, including championing the adoption of the entrepreneurial operating system (eos)a practical framework that helps nonprofits like rmhc neo clarify their vision, strengthen team accountability, and improve execution to maximize impact with greater focus and efficiency. An additional 24 individuals served as greater cleveland trustees, and 11 served on the greater akron/canton/mahoning valley board of trustees.nearly 100 individuals support the organization through service on the emerging leaders group (young professionals), the legacy council (past board members who fulfilled their term commitments), the mcdonald's advisory council, and planning committees for signature rmhc neo fundraising events.
