Mission

The Rose Memorial Library Association is a New York State not-for-profit corporation charted by the Regents of the State of New York and founded in 1949. It is organized to serve the educational, cultural, and social needs of the community of the Town of Stony Point. It is concerned with providing opportunities for community connection and gathering, and providing materials and programming for literacy, educational, and cultural purposes. The organization currently provides services for 14,813 residents (from the US Census 2020). Rose Memorial Library is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. It is a member of the Ramapo Catskill Library System. The library is supported primarily through municipal and school district tax assessments.
