Mission

the mission of rotary international district 5400, Inc. is to assist the individual rotary clubs in the geographical area consisting of the state of Idaho south of the salmon river and malheur county Oregon advance the object of rotary, which is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.

District block grant - paid to rotary clubs to fund small-scale, short-term activities that address needs in local communities and communities around the world. These activities align with the rotary foundation's mission to help rotary members advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty. The district decides which activities to support.

Expenses: $59K

Youth exchange-committee expense to select students to share in international exchange. Student participations in selected events and district conferences.

Fund raising for the Rotary Foundation. Net proceeds from raffle are contributed to the foundation annually. The Rotary Foundation helps Rotary members to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

Leadership Training and travel expenses are incurred for club presidents and district leaders when new leadership is elected. This training helps ensure the mission of the organization is communicated and pursued under the new leader's terms in office.
