District conference is the annual meeting where members of all of the rotary clubs in the district meet for a weekend of learning about rotary projects, meeting other rotarians, and welcoming and honoring the international participants in rotary youth exchange. Bi-district is a meeting where members of all the rotary clubs in two different districts meet for a weekend of learning about rotary projects and meeting other rotarians.

Other district expenses include various trainings president and support for the district governor as he travels around the district meeting with the local rotary clubs and their members. Rotary members pay dues to help defray the district's expenses.

The rotary youth exchange program allows international high school students an opportunity to spend a year in the united states, attending school, learning about their adopted family and state, and learning about rotary. Students are sponsored by local rotary clubs.
