Round pond village improvement society (rpvis) was formed in 1928 to preserve land on round pond harbor to always be accessable for use by local fishermen, ensuring them a working waterfront, as well as open for use by the general public for water access to launch recreational boats and general enjoyment of the shore. Rpvis mission is to preserve this space as well as other spaces owned by rpvis for the betterment of the community.
