Rural Parish Clinic Of The Archdiocese Of St Louis

The rural parish clinic operates a mobile medical clinic, since april 2019, to serve uninsured, income-qualifying residents in rural communities of the archdiocese of st louis, regardless of faith. All medical services are provided free of charge by volunteer providers. The medical mobile clinic employs 1 full-time coordinator, 1 part-time coordinator and 1 full-time nurse administrator. Currently, the medical mobile unit serves in 6 rural missouri locations and sees patients twice a week. During fiscal 2024, july 2023 - june 2024, the mobile medical clinic provided 429 visits at no cost to its patients. Individuals who have no insurance and a household income at or below 200% of the federal poverty level may call the rural parish clinic to schedule services. The mobile medical clinic provides free primary health care, health maintenance, laboratory services and limited medications. Medical care services provided support improved community social determinants of health, as well as unnecessary emergency room visits. The majority of patients treated are unemployed and many are homeless, food insecure, in need of transportation assistance, and/or utility bill assistance.
