Program 2: Cooking for Health Cooking for Health empowers individuals to use nutrition to support healing. Our weekly vegetarian Co-op Caf serves about 800 meals per year, each entre accompanied by nutritional information and ingredient insights. The caf turns every meal into a learning experience about whole-food, plant-based eating. Bi-monthly cooking classesserving around 60 participants annuallyteach practical skills like making vegan cheeses, fermented foods, and nut milks. Participants report feeling more confident and inspired to make healthy changes at home. Future Culinary Medicine classes will support patients and caregivers facing cancer, diabetes, and GI conditions by teaching not just what to eat and why, but how to prepare meals that nourish during treatment and beyond.
