The purpose of the organization is to maintain a fire fighting organization consistent with approved principals of firematics for the protection of life and property within the geographical boundaries of the latham fire protection district, to maintain adequate fire fighting equipment, and to maintain a suitable building to house this equipment and to provide a suitable meeting place for its members.
