Programs

Slow boogies operates a mobile craft-soda and dessert trailer that provides paid workforce development opportunities for under-resourced youth ages 14-24 on san antonio's eastside. The program hires young people who are systemically exlcuded from networks, opportunities, and capital needed to pursue education and enter the workforce. Through hands-on employment, youth gain foundational skills in customer service, food safety, operations, communication, and financial responsibility. The goal is to create dignified entry-level jobs that build confidence, work readiness, and long-term stability.
Agape eastside is a partnership with agape christian church on san antonio's east side that supports faith-based community outreach. The collaboration strengthens relationships between organizations with shared goals and provides support for activities that benefit youth, families, and the broader neighborhood.
The organization provides support to the community through other outreach programs which include immersions, photo club and addressing the needs of the community. Immersions are 4 hour sessions which give people who live in san antonio the opportunity to experience the eastside neighborhood. Photo club is a partnership with a local elementary school teaching 6th grade students about photography in the context of storytelling as it relates to their community. Supporting community needs ranges from providing a warm meal to buss passes and hygiene kits to temporary housing and showers.
