Sa Tamil Sangam

Tamil new year also called chithirai thiruvizha was celebrated. This falls on first day of tamil calendar which falls in april. Sats organized a grand big celebration gathering all tamil enthusiasts in mid april. At the end of celebration a grand feast of traditional tamil meal was served to all attendees and volunteers.

Hosted annual convention of tamil associations in north america called fetna. Convention offered rich blend of culture, language, heritage - arts, literature, music, dance, discussion forums, and workshops. For tamil dispora, this convention is one key annual moment of cultural affirmation and gathering. Gave visibility to tamil culture in north america, provided a platform for younger generations, and reinforced identity and language.

Deepavali - festival of lights was celebrated. Sats brought the tamil community in san antonio together and celebrated with a cultural program to display kids talents which helped them realize importance of tamil customs and culture. Celebration ended with a grand feast of traditional tamil meal served to all attendees

Sports and picnic - yearly events which focused on community building strength and improving the physical health of kids and adults. Sports events spread over 2-3 months saw active and enthusiastic participation of the community. Sports winners were honored during picnic event. Traditional food was served to all attendees and volunteers

Womens' day - 2024 - sats honored women in the tamil community. A platform was given to self-made women to share their experiences and educate fellow women in the community to help grow in self confidence. It was also an excellent opportunity to network
