The scvb tourism product is composed of conventions and meetings, sporting competitions, music and food festivals, heritage and california history travel, leisure/consumer travel, and the region's brand of america's farm-to-fork capital. Sacramento is an ideal vacation for segments of the travel audience, particularly those seeking value destinations and those looking for experiential trips to participate in wine tasting, fine dining, wildlife viewing, or recreational activities. The explosive growth of digital platforms has transformed how consumers plan and make travel decisions and given the scvb new promotional opportunities to develop compelling family and senior sacramento-specific programs that attract consumers interested in a variety of different niche experiences.

The sports commission has developed a new marketing strategy and has deployed a sport-specific sales team to focus on the sports market. Our sports marketing emphasis is aligned with the needs of the sports client's demands and has helped provide a clear understanding of our target audience. In addition, we have matched our salespersons' strengths to this particular market segment's needs to optimize the effectiveness of our sales efforts and investment.
