The sacred heart center seeks to help those living on or near the cheyenne river sioux reservation.
Programs

Child welfare services is licensed group care facility for 16 youth ages 10-18 and provides group care, respite care and community reintegration services for children and youth placed by the state, tribal and bureau of indian affairs child protection services also included is counseling, independent living skills therapeutic and educational group and community for the children in placement . The child welfare services had 35 youth in its care this year with a total number of bed days of 4,517.
Outreach services provides public awareness in various topics regarding sexual assault, domestic violence, child abuse/neglect, missing and murdered indigenous peoples, bullying prevention, healthy relationships, personal safety, boundary setting, dating violence, suicide prevention, family violence, hygiene, managing money, and how to apply for college/scholarships. Outreach was able to provide materials and education through training, events, brochures, and partnerships with the local communities, tribal programs, and schools. Bear necessities thrift store helped provide the needs of 7572 people in fy 2025.
