Safe Routes To School National Partnership

Through the Safe Routes to Parks Activating Communities Program, the National Partnership provides grants and tailored technical assistance to help communities develop and begin to implement Safe Routes to Parks action plans. The action plans provide clear steps to improve local park access and safety for people walking, biking, and rolling.

This encompasses the William Penn grant, the TCE grant, the DC VZ grant, and the GM grant. The National Partnership leads and supports state and local coalitions across the country that engage and elevate community voices, analyze and research public policies, and recommend policy and systems changes. These engagements prioritize equity and transportation justice, with a goal of making our streets safe and accessible for people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
