The corporation is operated to prevent and reduce crime in the dallascounty area by, among other things, providing funding and/or equipmentto local law enforcement agencies, pursuing other avenues for fundinglocal public safety, assisting or providing funds to assist paroled andreleased inmates in finding alternatives to crime, studying,recommending refinements to, and assisting with the improvement of,local law enforcement operations, and/or otherwise seeking to preventand reduce crime.
