Supper meetings of the members, officers, and board are conducted to explore issues related to Scottish heritage and to conduct the business affairs of the Society. Guest speakers enhance the event by sharing their experiences.
Assistance Fund Donations to the following organizations: The Carpenters Company of the City and County of Philadelphia = $52,500 Tun Tavern Legacy Foundation = $50,000 First Baptist Church = 1,000 Juvenile Justice Center = 1,428 Washington Memorial Pipe Band = 4,000 Cradle of Hope = $3,000 United States Piping Foundation = $3,000 USGA Foundation = $2,500 Miscellaneous = $360
The Robert Burns Night Supper is a tribute dinner saluting the Scottish Bard Robert Burns. 205 attendees were present at the event on 1/24/2024.
The Ceilidh Event is a family event promoting Scottish heritage and traditions in the U.S. The event features Scottish music, food, dancing, and storytelling attended by 141 participants on 9/21/2023.
Golf outing to celebrate the links sport of Scottish origin.
Hunting, fishing, special events. Participants honor the gentlemanly outdoor sport of bird hunting & fishing, and march with Scottish Pipers in the annual Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk Parade.
Scottish Monument expenses and maintenance. The Scottish Memorial of Philadelphia is displayed at Front & Chestnut Streets in Philadelphia.
Pipers playing traditional Scottish bagpipes at funerals & cultural events
