While the college suspended all operations in 2017 due to financial challenges, the college has resumed educational aspects in educational certification programs. The mission that the college has faithfully upheld for over 100 years of providing an education that strives to prepare men and women to lead successful professional and personal lives consistent with the gospel values continues to be at the core of all educational opportunities.

In the spirit of the mission of saint joseph's college, inc., the college looked to saint joseph, a working carpenter and patron saint of craftsmen, working people and families. The college started a trades educational venture in june 2024. The college launched a hands-on construction trades educational program for high school students in 2024.
