For 42 years, the Organization has been providing qualified Sign Language interpreters to provide deaf and hard of hearing citizens with equal communication access to medical care, educational coursework, mental health counseling, government assistance, and other public services. Interpreting services are critical needs for deaf individuals, ensuring they can fully access these vital services.
The Organization distributes specialized amplified phones at no charge for individuals with hearing loss through the Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc. (FTRI) program. In addition to providing these phones and training on their use, the Organization conducts community outreach attending health fairs, community events, and presentations to ensure that those who qualify know how to obtain this vital equipment.
