Samadhi refuge is zoned as an inn and is reimbursed by ulster county department of social services to provide emergency housing, identical to local motels. The difference is that samadhi refuge provides 24/7 suppotive services for all the individuals living there. Samadhi primarily focuses on individuals with substance use disorder, or individuals that have had difficulty remaining housed. Samadhi's peer advocates are available to help resolve conflicts, provide transportation, assist individuals with daily living skills, provide case management, provide assistance in securing long-term supportive housing, provide individuals with basic needs, and provide recovery support.
