Mission
Sammy's Place is also a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Oregon's North Coast. As an organization we seek to create new opportunities on the Oregon Coast so everyone can fully participate and thrive in their community of choice. Our values root us in the belief that every one of us has something unique to contribute to their community and we celebrate the unique strengths of every individual.
Programs
1 program
We are dedicated to advancing universal accessibility and removing barriers to accessing places, services, products, community roles, and housing for all people, including those experiencing disability. We do this by advocating for universal accessibility throughout our service area, modeling universal accessibility in all our programs and services, and educating community leaders about universal accessibility. Our primary activity in this program area is our Thompson Springs project, a model of affordable accessible housing built with the principles of Universal Design.
