San Antonio Genealogical & Historical Society

Our education program is staffed with volunteers who make presentations of a genealogical or historical interest. We host a full-day annual seminar with a paid nationally recognized lecturer. Our founders day luncheon recognizes the founders and awards a certificate to persons who can trace their ancestry to the founding of bexar county. Our award-winning website provides information to the public about our programs, library collection and special events. There are many links to other sites to guide users to excellent resources beyond our doors.

Our publication program, staffed by volunteers issues a monthly newsletter with interesting articles and columns, many submitted by members. Our quarterly journal our heritage prints articles and stories written by our members about their ancestors and how they discovered their ancestral lineage. We have an array of books for sale that were authored or compiled by our members. Additionally, we host a website that provides information to the public and a 'members only' section. These publication efforts have received writing awards over many years.
