The san francisco interfaith councils work centers on civil rights, homelessness, housing affordability, and disaster preparedness. The sfic convenes and amplifies the voice of our citys faith-based community on these important issues.

The San Francisco Interfaith Councils (SFIC) major event of the year is the Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Prayer Breakfast attended by over 300 people on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Each year the SFIC shines a spotlight on a significant contribution made by the faith community to San Francisco.
The San Francisco Interfaith Council served as fiscal sponsor to fund the production of a feature documentary about the faith-based Sanctuary movement.
Advice and outreach with congregations toward disaster preparedness in close cooperation with the sf departments of emergency management and public health. Online briefings were held on safety and security, including cyber-security, for communities of faith, including confronting hate crimes. Other interfaith efforts and events for the san frnacisco community, including the convening of the round table of the 20 faith-based social service agencies, organizing the annual rev. Dr. Martin luther king, jr. Day interfaith service, organizing the annual interfaith thanksgiving service, organizing the vigil: annual homeless persons memorial and other special events. Rev.
