We brought nine concerts by musical guest artists to the island this year with over 1,500 attending, as well as numerous video presentations from the national theatre, the metropolitan opera, and our summer film series. Local groups such as the san juan singers and melodious notes over the harbor also returned to co-produce concerts with us, as well as the addition of salish sea ballet.
Eductional offerings included nine workshops for kids and adults and a three-week summer camp which produced "guys and dolls". All requests for financial assistance from students were fully funded. Friday harbor high school and friday harbor middle school each offered fully-mounted productions, as well as a bilingual family theatre production in which children and their families perfformed and volunteered together.
