San Lucas Tolimán Scholars' primary purpose is to raise money to provide scholarships to poor students and support their schools in the San Lucas Tolimán, Guatemala and neighboring communities. This financial assistance allows these students to continue their education after primary school.

San Lucas Tolimán Scholars provides the following services: visits elementary schools to identify program candidates and collects information for the selection process; prepares and distributes vouchers for school supplies, registers student sponsor letters, helps arrange visits between visiting sponsors and students; and, photographs school events and graduating students.
