Scitech2U

During the school year in FY 2024, SciTech2U offered a variety of programs including aeronautics, seismology, robotics, and health and wellness. SciTech2U served youth in the District of Columbia, and Montgomery and Prince Georges Counties, MD including 133 elementary, 65 middle and 20 high school students. SciTech2U also offered a Seismic Quake Lab - SQL, where students learned the science of earthquakes and the rudiments of structural engineering. SciTech2Us wellness program featured activities regarding the immune system, personal wellness, and healthy eating practices. The robotics program featured working with soldering tools and building remote controlled robots. SciTech2U partners with Techbridge Girls, offered the Ignite program at a DC public charter school, Girls Global Academy. Students created sports drinks, learned coding, piloted drones, explored circuitry, built robots, tested stick-built structures on shake tables, and developed video games. They also learned about the contributions of women in STEM.
