From january through october, we displayed 16 large-scale sculptures by julia arriola and hector ortega that commemorated missing and murdered indigenous women. In december, we installed the "kinetic factor" exhibition, a large-scale, outdoor group exhibition by 15 sculptors from across the united states. The exhibition's sculptures shared the common theme of motion presented in three dimensions.
Sculpture tucson's "sculpture-on-the-street" program connects sculptors and businesses with the intent to place large works of art along major roads in tucson and pima county.
