Weekly classes focus on learning the italian language in a full-immersion environment, but go well beyond simple language acquisition by integrating aspects of italian culture such as songs, tradition, holiday celebrations, food, and history, including the rich history of art in italy, into each lesson plan. Students are able to make them come alive: lessons about the important holiday of carnevale for example, culminate with participation in the scuola's annual public festa di carnevale each winter, complete with costumes, traditional foods, and games. The classroom environment is creative, dynamic and child centered. All classes maintain a low student to teacher ratio (4-8:1) to insure a high quality learning experience.
