The Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra crafts performances that tell the story of the human experience in new ways, providing musical arts education and fulfillment to people of all walks of life. SMCO features music by composers of under-represented groups, such as women and people of color, on every performance. Focusing on themes relevant to our world, SMCO engages young and diverse new listeners. SMCO connects communities through multi-genre collaborations and explores new worlds of musical possibility with adventurous, experimental projects.
