Seattle shakespeare engages audiences, artists, and the community in the universal human experience inherent in classic drama through the vitality, immediacy and intimacy in the live performance of the plays of william shakespeare.

The organization offers multiple education programs relating to the works of william shakespeare including classes, workshops, summer camps, and in-school residencies.
Seattle shakespeare operates traveling productions of plays to schools and communities throughout the state of washington, making shakespeare productions available to students and other audience members who reside in areas of the state that have limited access to professional theatre performances. The organization also sponsors a "wooden o" series of free performances of shakespeare classic plays in seattle area parks during july & august.
