Mission
Our mission is to spark each and every person to love math. Program participants embark on a math journey with creative opportunities for math exploration, learning and discovery to foster positive connections to math, boost math confidence and help students see math as relevant to their future. We aim to reduce the equity gap in math education for girls and students of color, diversify the pipeline of people pursuing STEAM careers and better prepare youth to thrive in the digital economy of the 21st century.

SUMM continued with multiple math education programming in partnership with multiple organizations, schools, libraries, community centers and other museums to facilitate learning math in a fun, hands-on way for all ages of participants. In FY24 we hosted more than two hundred events and reached over ten thousand participants at various sites, many with partner organizations. We received grants and donations to cover about 70% of expenses, and 75% of our events were held in "communities of opportunity" with highly diverse populations.
SUMM continued to develop potential prototype exhibits to be included in future programming and exhibit spaces, including future travel to schools, libraries, and community centers in our local communities. These prototype exhibits demonstrate our dedication to immersive and interactive math experiences, and may be further developed into more permanent exhibits at our future museum space. Staff, consultants and various project expenses are included in this fiscal year's expenses, and funding came from a $125,000 grant in a previous year.
Studio Infinity started three projects in the latter half of the fiscal year, sponsored by Seattle Universal Math Museum, and following the mission to spark each and every person to love math. Projects were displayed in diverse venues around the United States.
