Mission

The mission of the SRLT is to recognize and conserve the rich wild and workinglandscape of Central Maine's Sebasticook River watershed through conservation,stewardship and education. Our focal programs are land conservation for communitybenefit; stewardship of approximately 2000 acres of public-access lands for wildlifehabitat, hiking, hunting, fishing and nature enjoyment; restoration of native fishto the watershed; and community outreach and education to inspire participation andsupport.

Outreach & Education:The SRLT published educational articles and newsletters, and offered in-person and virtual educational and recreational events open to all. It updated and maintained its web site to raise awareness of the Sebasticook River watershed.

Land Acquisition:The SRLT continued to work with landowners to help them voluntarily protect their land for future generations and with partner organizations to identify priority areas for conservation.

General Programs:The SRLT continued to administer the land trust to achieve its mission to conserve and restore the lands and waters of the Sebasticook River Watershed in Central Maine through programs and activities including land conservation, habitat restoration and environmental education.
