Mission

Second chance childrens ministry's (sccm) mission is to nuture and provide resources to the impoverished and orphaned youth. Sccm was established due to the common desire of the founding members to pool resources to help with intervention mechanisms towards the needs of vulnerable children in uganda. Sccm is dedicated to reaching, teaching and equiping impoverished orphans and vulnerable children by providing access to education, housing, and food security.

Christmas food drive: second chance children's ministry (sccm) partners with local organizations in uganda to distribute food to underserved families in uganda. Sccm provides nutritious meals containing foods like chicken and beef to families on the easter and christmas holidays, feeding around 200 individuals.

Construction of a school and orphanage facility in 2024, sccm granted funds to second chance foundation (scf), an affiliated charitable organization in uganda, to puchase land for the purpose of constructing a facility to house and educate orphaned children and teen mothers. Once completed, this facility will provide a refuge for vulnerable children and young mothers, offering them safe housing, food security, and educational opportunities. Construction of the facility, a joint project conducted by sccm and scf, begins in the 2025 year, with the expectation that the facility will be operational in 2026.

Medical outreach during 2024, sccm lead a mission trip to uganda, providing medical care to 365 people. This included general checks and referrals, dental care, immunizations, eye care and health education. Health care services such as these are not generally accessible to individuals in uganda, especially those living in rural villages, such those visited on this trip.
