Maternity: the maternity centers in cap-hatien and saint-raphal provide 24/7 midwifery care, safe birth services, prenatal and postpartum care, family planning, and infant immunizations. In 2024, the centers conducted 19,826 prenatal and postpartum consultations, facilitated 1,656 safe births, and provided 2,356 family planning consultations. Midwives administered more than 6,500 infant vaccinations. Since their inception, the maternity centers have provided care for over 19,800 women and newborns.
Community: the community program strengthens resilience through infrastructure, sustainable agriculture, and access to resources. In 2024, 102 solar streetlamps were installed, connecting nine rural villages and benefiting 10,300 people with light and safety. Campus gardens produced 137,600 meals, sustaining caregivers, staff, and the broader community. The program also distributed 980 fruit trees, helping improve long-term food security. To date, community projects have improved daily life for more than 59,000 people across northern haiti.
In 2024, second mile haiti began construction on its third family center campus in acul-du-nord. This new site will launch in 2025, offering expanded access to maternity care, family preservation, and community services in a new area of northern haiti.
