Mission
Seedleaf, Inc. educates and inspires adults and youth to participate in food production. We aim to provide access to healthy, fresh food for all in Lexington, particularly those that reside in neighborhoods with high risk of food insecurity
Programs
2 programs
Gardens - Seedleaf maintained 13 community gardens in 2022, including a 2 acre urban farm situated in the communities of Northeast Lexington.
Market Gardener Program - The Market Gardener Program is a year-long process of guiding participants through basic horticultural practices, food safety, and general business planning. Participants are paid a small stipend to support their participation in the program. They are given sections of land at the urban farm for their operations. The support of Seedleaf helps new Market Gardeners take risks and learn without the fear of financial ruin.
