Community equipping: this part of our mission serves our community in a variety of ways to foster emotional, relational, and spiritual wellness. Our life coaching staff held 110 coaching sessions where they work with clients on life issues that do not require counseling intervention. As a partner of the low country pregnancy center, we held two (2) ten-week post abortion healing groups for a total of 14 women to assist in their journey to emotional recovery. In the spring we, we held a large-scale community event focused on the topic of forgiveness. The event featured a panel discussion led by our ph. D psychologist who interviewed two men whose family members had been brutally murdered. In the fall, our annual fundraising event always centers on clinical and theological topic for our audience. Over 300 people from the broader low country community from various denominations attended in 2024 to learn, grow their faith, and support our mission. Our keynote speaker was the renowned dr. Amy-orr ewing, a british scholar, theologian and christian apologist who has spoken at the white house and in parliament. This annual event is the catalyst for our scholarship funding for the coming year in order to fulfill our three-fold mission. In 2024, approximately 20% of the 5100 sessions were given scholarship assistance to remove the financial barrier of our services; the training of our two interns was covered by scholarship dollars; and our community programs were underwritten through scholarship funding.

Training: the training arm of our mission is to provide excellence in clinical training that is adjunct to a student's academic studies for obtaining a graduate level masters degree in clinical counseling. These internships last nine months and the students are trained on client intake procedures and client assessments; they participate in direct client session hours; and are provided with one-on-one weekly supervision as well as 2 hours each month of group supervision from a licensed professional counselor supervisor within life resources. In 2024, we onboarded three student interns. Additionally, we provide 6 hours of monthly group supervision and clinical group training to each of our associate counselors to fulfill their two-year requirement toward independent licensure.
