The objectives of seiu 517-m - tomorrow's michigan today shall be to raise and spend money to provide assistance and support to michigan communities and families in need; to assist working families of michigan in meeting the costs of education and training to help improve their economic security and quality of life; to educate and inform the citizens, the media and elected officials of michigan regarding the value and contributions of public employees to the public welfare and the strength of michigan communities; and to engage in such other educational and chariable activities as are consistent with the activities of organizations that qualify as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986, as now enacted or hearafter amended, including, for such purposes, the making of distribution to organizations that also qualify as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3).
