Mission

Our mission is to be the recognized authority in seminole county for information regarding high quality school readiness and child care services which allow parents to make informed choices when selecting childcare providers. We carry out our mission through collaborative partnerships with early education and care professionals and concerned community leaders to : enhance the quality of school readiness services in seminole county; promote community awareness of critical factors regarding early learning; provide scholarships for eligible low income children to attend child care centers; and increase participation in the voluntary prekindergarten program available to all four years olds in seminole county.

Programs

3 programs

School readiness: the school readiness (sr) program is designed to assist families with the cost of early care and education. Families are eligible based on employment, pursuing higher education, seeking job skills or with children at risk of abuse and/or neglect. The sr program supports these families in accessing quality child care services for children ages birth to 5 and service for our children through age twelve after school and during school breaks and holidays. It affords families the opportunity to become economically self-sufficient and prepares their children for a path of learning in kindergarten and beyond. In 2023-2024, the coalition served 2,267 children under the sr program.
