Sage teams. Sage supported teams of people and organizations working together on a common cause. Through our vision 2030 team, we engaged 25 partners and offered lessons and all-school fairs for middle school students to learn about portland's climate goal, solutions and jobs. This year, we facilitated over 40 lessons and three fairs, reaching 1,600 students. Through our citizen project, we offered fifteen events to address heightened political polarization by promoting better listening and civil conversation on politics. We also hosted statewide convenings for organizations that bring people together across differences to solve problems. We sponsored two programs to engage older adults as mentors and tutors, helping elementary and middle school students with reading and math. Students experienced significant growth and greater confidence in school, and older adults experienced the joy of mentoring and tutoring. Our evs for all team offered two workshops to help older adults learn about electric vehicles and we supported two electric vehicle car share programs. Sage also continued to sponsor a project of one of legacy fellows to promote an innovative water quality treatment technology. Through all these efforts, we sparked the imagination and commitment of people to plant trees of opportunity for the future.

Visiting sage. We hosted our eighth visiting sage event on the future of community. We featured celebrated writer david brooks who spoke about america's crisis of connection and the need to weave a new, inclusive social fabric across america. Brooks was joined by two speakers from weave: the social fabric project. Together, these leaders shared insights on what it means to weave community in our schools, our workplaces and in other parts of life. They also shared stories to illustrate how we can better know each other, trust each other, and break down barriers. As part of this program, sage also hosted a leadership roundtable with community leaders and our speakers, and we arranged tours to two community-building initiatives: albina vision trust and the soul restoration center.
