Mission

Our mission is to provide services and support for seniors to enhance their quality of life and independence in our community. Our vision is an inclusive community where all older adults are revered, cared for, and supported to live meaningful and productive lives.

Programs

3 programs

Providing in-home services is critical for older adults to maintain independence living in the community. Our care management staff oversees in-home services such as personal care assistance, homemaker services (tasks that can be troublesome for an older adult living alone) and respite care for family caregivers. During the year ended december 31, 2024, our care managers provided assistance to 455 clients.

Expenses: $514K

Tops (transportation options program for seniors) provided more than 3,100 roundtrip rides in 2024 to take older adults to medical appointments, pharmacies, and the grocery store, including unlimited rides for those seniors with chronic illnesses. The program reduces the burden on family members and provides older adults with more control, independence, and access to the medical care and essential items they need.

Expenses: $384K

The meals on wheels (mow) program delivers nutritious mid-day meals to older adults at home who are unable to afford or prepare meals for themselves. Our volunteers are often the only visitors a homebound older adult has on a given day, and they are trained to alert senior services if medical emergencies arise at the time of the delivery visit. Nonperishable nutritious meals are also provided for seniors to have on hand during periods of inclement weather and emergencies. During the year 2024, our team of dedicated volunteers delivered more than 28,000 meals on wheels to seniors. According to feeding america's map the meal gap study, georgia ranks 10th in the nation for senior hunger. Our mow program is helping to ease the problem in north fulton and atlanta.over 600 volunteers provided over 19,000 hours of service during the year ended december 31, 2024. They support our mission and service to older adults in our community by delivering meals, helping at the senior centers, delivering pet food, visiting seniors in need, and serving on our board of directors. Without our dedicated volunteers we could not carry out our mission. The emergency assistance program provides support for clients when no other funding source is available. Clients could require assistance with food, rent, utilities, medications, or other urgent needs.our meals on wheels for pets (mowp) program continues to grow in the community. By providing seniors with pet food, we can help them avoid surrender or separation from their companion pets.our pantry to you program provides non-perishable food items from our local food pantry to our most in-need and vulnerable senior clients.
