Juneteenth: the event continues a 70-year tradition of juneteenth celebrations that honour black culture and freedom in san francisco. It will feature live music, community workshops, and culinary experiences, attracting both locals and tourists to appreciate the rich diversity of black culture in the city. This milestone celebration aims to further establish juneteenth as a cultural and economic anchor for black-led revitalization efforts in san francisco.
Human rights commission: beginning in september 2022, the dream keeper initiative (dki) spent the months of october to december establishing its curriculum, bringing in consultants, creating a service menu, and identifying businesses eligible for master classes. In 2024, four small businesses were selected, and dki designed master classes to help these businesses scale their operations. The program focused on addressing compliance issues and improving infrastructure and administrative systems through one-on-one professional coaching.
The bayview night market aims to create a vibrant, inclusive community event that celebrates local culture, supports small and micro businesses, and engages residents and visitors alike. Located in the heart of bayview, the market will feature a diverse array of vendors offering artisanal goods, culinary delights, and unique experiences.
